Festival Fridays

This series is designed to encourage people to come downtown, celebrate the unique places that help to define community and gathering for celebration. The festivals design and management is intentional to provide opportunities for event management students at local colleges to learn how to pop-up a festival and learn event design, creative ideation, and how to manage a one-day liquor license for nonprofit fundraising. The management framework and logistical design will be created to provide an “event in a box” format for future event producers to use to create similar events at the ACFP in future years.

Did we mention why we are doing these events?
The Friday Food Truck Festivals are a series of events that help WMU students learn how to host festivals that include great music, food trucks, merchandise vendors and adult beverages. It's an opportunity to create events that resemble big festivals, but are manageable to "pop up" in an afternoon and prove that events are fun, simple, and a bit easy to do.
