23 Mile Vineyard Bike Tour Route
43 Mile Vineyard Bike Tour Route
57 Mile Vineyard Bike Tour Route
The Vineyard Classic Bicycle Tour took place on Sunday, September 13, 2020 and is (normally) part of the annual Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival, now hosted by KELC Events. The 2020 Wine and Harvest Festival was unfortunately cancelled, however there are many activities in and around the Paw Paw area such as arts and crafts, winery tours, entertainment, grape stomping, parades and grapes for tasting.
The Vineyard Classic Bike tour travels past lush vineyards and orchards at the peak of harvest season. Cyclists pass by woodlands, lakes, rivers, and neighboring villages and have the option to choose from three different length routes (23, 43 or 57 mile distances). There are a variety of breakfast places to stop at in town before the ride. There will be SAG support with radio crew, route maps, road markings, first aid and refreshment stops provided.
Helmets are required. All proceeds go for college internships in Southwest Michigan.
Registration starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 9:00 a.m. The tour starts between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., depending on when you're ready to begin. The starting location is at the Van Buren County Human Services Building, located at 801 Hazen Street, Paw Paw MI, 49079 - just North of Red Arrow Highway. Advanced registration is $20.00 and available through BikeReg.com, and event day registration is available on site for $30.00.
Children under 12 may participate for FREE when accompanied by an adult.
